CTE - John C. Stennis Career Technical Center
Welcome to John C. Stennis CTE!
John C. Stennis Career and Technical Education Center in DeKalb, Mississippi (Kemper County School District), offers twelve technical programs to students at Kemper County High School as well as Kemper Academy. The 12 programs at the center are Culinary, HVAC, Carpentry/Construction, Educator Preparation, Digital Media, Health Science, Law & Public Safety, Welding, Exploring Computer Science, Work based Learning, Family & Consumer Science, and Cyber Foundations. Two courses are taught at the middle and high school, and they are Cyber Foundations and Family & Consumer Science.

The programs are designed to be two-year programs, and upon completion, students will earn four credits toward graduation. Through these programs, students will learn skills and participate in clinical experiences and hands-on training. In addition to the five major programs, we offer student services to students who need additional remediation (math, reading, Work Keys and job training). Our center also offers counseling services to students needing general counseling, job assistance and higher education preparation post-graduation.

It is our objective at John C. Stennis to strive to provide the needed information for students to be able to set career goals and to understand the path to successfully obtain these goals. Our motto is “Preparing Students Today for the Workforce of Tomorrow through CTE".
